Theoritical Consumption

Theoretical yield per coat, thickness approx. 4mm: 0.2 – 0.3 m2/kg

Average consumption per 4mm of thickness: 3.5 – 5 kg/m²

Surface Preparation

Make sure the surface is completely dry. If the surface is plastered, make sure it had a curing time of at least 28 days, depending on temperature. – Make sure that the wall has been well prepared and is suitable for coating: plaster must be dry, and not have any granules, on old walls, make sure that there is no poor quality or powdery paint, remove flaking paint etc… Do not apply on freshly painted surfaces.

Using a small stainless steel trowel apply a uniform layer all over the surface as a base coat. Once the first coat is dry, apply, with the same tool, a consistent layer of a minimum of 5 mm thick of Veneto Crettatura to the wall. Then with a sorghum broom pass over the surface vertically. The product will self-crack during the drying phase (1-2 days). The type and number of cracks will depend on the thickness of the product applied and the tool used for the decoration: the higher the thickness the greater the dimension and quantity of cracks the finish will produce.
